Submissions

Please direct us to your site or project for review, and tell us what you’d like to show. Priority goes to long-term studies that dig deep and reveal a good story. Please do not send full essays without directing us to preview the sequence on your site. Inquiries with a link can be sent to submissions@humanfilesjournal.com.

Requirements for acccepted Essays or One Shots:

• Images must be 1000px on the long side
• No watermarks on images
• Include series or image title
• Include an extended description or short story—whatever you want to say about the image
• Your location
• Link to your site or home of your project (no Facebook galleries or other social media)
• Bio optional

Note:  Feature images used for the thumbnails and the front page slider will be cropped to fit a horizontal 2:3 aspect ratio, but the artist’s crop on the story’s page will be maintained.
